At Sanford Bemidji, you’ll find a medical team that is committed to providing the best care right in our own community. As the region’s largest hospital, we offer patients access to an unmatched level of comprehensive care close to home. Sanford Bemidji Medical Center, originally founded in 1898, has more than 6,000 admissions and 800 births each year in our level II nursery. As a regional hub, the emergency department, a level III trauma center, treats nearly 30,000 patients a year. Our care team provides inpatient and outpatient surgery, cardiac care, general medical/surgical/orthopedics care, intensive and critical care services, radiology, diagnostic testing, rehabilitation services and emergency care. We have a women’s & children’s center and a special care nursery. Our medical center has 118 licensed beds and four floors of care. It is also home to Sanford Bemidji Heart & Vascular Center. Patients with clinic appointments at the heart & vascular center should use the east entrance to the Medical Center.
