Norton Sound Regional Hospital (NSRH) is a critical access, board-directed community hospital serving the Norton Sound Region of Alaska. Our patients live in extremely remote living conditions and providing medical care in this setting is dynamic and exciting! The hospital is beautiful and state of the art. Norton Sound Health Corporation (NSHC) is the governing body of NSRH. It is a tribally owned and operated, independent, not-for profit health care organization, founded in 1970 to meet the health care needs of the Inupiat, Siberian Yup’ik and Yu’pik people of the Bering Strait region, a 44,000 square-mile section of northwestern Alaska. It includes 15 remote villages, each with their own clinic staffed primarily by community health aids.
