Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton, formerly Hazleton General Hospital, has 150 beds and provides inpatient acute care, rehab care at Gunderson Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation, emergency care, maternity and home care. It was the first accredited Primary Care Stroke Center in northeast Pennsylvania. In November 2015, the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation granted Level IV Trauma Center accreditation to LVH–Hazleton.
