Nestled in Northern Connecticut, we are a fully integrated hospital system. Currently the largest employer in the region, we employ around 1,100 staff members from our surrounding communities. Johnson Memorial Hospital (JMH) is licensed for 92 beds. Our emergency department has been recently upgraded and addresses any form of acute care needs for our communities. The Emergency Department also coordinates with level 1 and level 2 tertiary care centers in order to provide the best quality of care to the patients we serve. JMH performs surgeries on site; therefore we have a medical surgical unit as well as an ICU. JMH also has a labor and delivery unit and an adult inpatient psychiatric unit. The hospital employs just under 700 staff members. Home and Community Health Services (HCHS) engages in healthcare in homes in Northern Connecticut as well as select towns in Western Massachusetts. They provide nursing care, home health aides, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and a variety of other services within the privacy of your own home. HCHS employs just over 100 staff members. Johnson Occupational Medicine provides services to JMH as well as several other large local organizations. JOMC performs pre-placement physical exams as well as supports worker compensation programs and treatments. Johnson Professional Associates is JMH's medical practices.
