Our 25 bed Critical Access Hospital provides access to care for patients with minor ailments to life threatening conditions. Patients may be admitted to our facility where we are friends healing friends or they may have to be stabilized and transferred to another hospital for a higher level of care. Fallon Medical Complex (FMC) is a sole community health care provider for a rural population in excess of 7,200 people spread over seven counties. In addition to serving Fallon County, located in southeastern Montana, FMC also provides health care for three bordering Montana counties (Carter, Wibaux, and part of Custer) and three adjacent North Dakota counties (Slope, Golden Valley, and part of Bowman). Considered “frontier” by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, this region boasts less than two residents per square mile. The predominant industries in this area are agriculture and oil and gas extraction.
