Trauma Surgeon Opportunity in Ohio

Job description Wright State Physicians in Dayton, Ohio is actively seeking candidates for a faculty position in the division of acute care surgery. The successful candidate will join a group of seven surgeons based at Miami Valley Hospital, a 974-bed, ACS verified Level 1 Trauma Center with over 3,500 trauma patient admissions per year. This program is supported by thirteen Advanced Practice Clinicians, in-house radiology and interventional radiology, an attached inpatient rehabilitation facility and subspecialty support including plastics, maxillofacial, ob-gyn, and anesthesiology. Primary responsibilities include resident and medical student education, surgical and critical care of trauma patients, and emergency general surgery. There is opportunity for development of an active general surgical practice, as well as protected time for research.

Candidate Requirements Ohio Candidates must be board certified/eligible. In-person interview Qualified applicants must have completed an accredited surgical residency program and a fellowship in trauma/critical care, and have interest and experience in scholarly activity. Board certification or eligibility for certification in general surgery and surgical critical care is required. The applicant must be licensable to practice medicine in Ohio.
