We are currently seeking a qualified physician to provide telehealth services for our partner, Carena Medical Providers (CMP). Carena Physicians provide high quality, compassionate care to patients via phone, webcam, and/or house call. The position supports the organizational priorities and goals associated with providing access to care for patients in a new way, delivering cost-effective, timely health care services, and ensuring that medical care provided to patients is consistent with Carena’s standard for quality.
• Treat patients’ medical needs using the following modalities; virtual phone care, web camera, or in-person house call • Provide medical care in a competent and efficient manner consistent with generally accepted medical practices and standards prevailing in the professional community • Provide education and care coordination by: Using an open-ended questioning approach to obtain a complete medical history Prescribing appropriate treatments Teaching patients about key risk factors of their condition and treatment. Coordinating patient referrals as appropriate Coordinating care with patient’s primary physician as indicated • Follow processes and protocols in order to provide efficient health care services to patients. • Assure delivery of clinical services in a way that meets and exceeds quality standards, to promote positive patient outcomes. • Actively participate and comply with Quality Assurance activities • Maintain appropriate Board Certification and valid license to practice medicine and valid DEA certification without restrictions. • Maintain eligibility to receive reimbursement from public and private health care programs, payers and insurance companies
DUTIES (included but not limited to)
• Maintain performance standards, service excellence, and operational efficiency at all times. • Meet productivity metrics pertaining to patient/visit volumes and visit duration times. • Ensure adoption, utilization of best practice provider service standards and methodologies. • Complete documentation that meets regulatory and industry standards
• Valid MD/DO license without restrictions • Preferred licensure in other states; the ability to obtain licensure in multiple states • Two years of working experience in a clinical setting; including family practice/urgent/emergent care experience with both adult and pediatric populations. • Board Certified in specialty that allows practitioner to care for patients of all ages. • Prior experience working in a fast paced, high growth clinical setting, preferred. • Experience working in a variety of the clinical or healthcare delivery environments, desired. • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills including composure, diplomacy, and the ability to interact with a diverse patient population. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills. • Ability to work independently, and demonstrate good personal judgment. • Solution focused. • Strong interest in, and aptitude and/or experience with the use of emerging technology in the delivery and the documentation of health care. • Comfortable with shifting priorities and frequent changes that a small company in a burgeoning business often experience. • Demonstrated ability to handle tasks efficiently under pressure when circumstances dictate a sense of urgency. • Flexibility in meeting workload fluctuations and assisting with a variety of requests and tasks as they arise. • Impeccable integrity and honesty. • Strong work ethic. • Desire and passion to change the way healthcare will be delivered in the future.
