We seek applicants who hold MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (foreign educational equivalent accepted) and will be board certified/board eligible in Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine at the time of appointment. Sleep Medicine board eligibility/certification is also desirable. Clinical interest should include obstructive airways disease, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, sleep, infectious lung disease or cystic fibrosis. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will be actively involved in teaching medical students, internal medicine residents and PCCM fellows.
We have a 30-bed MICU and 10-bed sleep lab at Ruby Memorial Hospital. The pulmonary consult service provides interventional bronchoscopy including EBUS navigational bronchoscopy and stent and laser therapy. Our robust out-patient clinic has special programs for adult CF, lung cancer, ALS and COPD/asthma.
