Job descriptionWest Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry in the WVU School of Medicine are recruiting a psychiatrist to assume a faculty position at our new Comprehensive Pain Management Center in Morgantown, WV. This Psychiatrist will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team at the Comprehensive Pain Center to treat individuals with pain and the side effects of pain. The multi-disciplinary team on site will include therapists, psychologists, acupuncturists, chiropractors and physical movement training. The Responsibilities for this non tenure, assistant professor clinical emphasis track position include various opportunities for outpatient care of both young adults as well general outpatient psychiatric patients. Additional responsibilities include teaching and supervision of medical students and psychiatry residents, service across both the Main and Health Science Campuses at WVU, and scholarship with opportunities for research.
Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must be board certified / eligible in psychiatry.
The West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute, led by Dr. Ali Rezai, is expanding to include the clinical, research, and academic missions of Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry, among others.
