Great opportunity for BC/BE Psychiatrists to direct a multi-disciplinary treatment team consisting of Registered Nurses, LPN's, Patient Care Coordinators (Social Workers), Psychologists, Mental Health Technicians, and Activity Therapists. Position is one of three Psychiatrists providing care at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill S. Jackson Street (formerly Pottsville General Hospital) through adult, adolescent and senior behavioral health programs. Will have the opportunity for some outpatient work if desired. Pottsville is located in Schuylkill County in the beautiful mountains of East-central Pennsylvania an area comprised of small towns and rural communities with a moderate cost of living, fascinating history and a host of fairs, events and festivals.

Schuylkill County boasts of a variety of outdoor recreation options including state parks, campgrounds, hiking, fishing, hunting, mountain biking, golfing and canoeing. The nearby Pocono Mountains offer additional recreation opportunities. Just 2 hours north of Philadelphia and 3 hours west of New York City.

In total Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) includes 5 full service hospital campuses which combine for over 1,300 inpatient beds network wide with a 160 practice and a medical staff of over 1,300 providers. Our network provides a full continuum of care in behavioral health from emergency evaluation to intensive care, partial hospitalization, outpatient follow-up, homecare and skilled nursing facility consultation. We are growing the Department of Psychiatry which currently comprises more than 20 Psychiatrists and 120 mental health professionals.
