Job description Great opportunity for BC/BE Psychiatrists to join a multi-disciplinary treatment team consisting of Physician Assistants, Registered Nurses, LPN's, Patient Care Coordinators (Social Workers), and Mental Health Technicians at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Pocono in northeastern Pennsylvania. Responsibilities include adult inpatient behavioral health program and will have the opportunity for some outpatient work if desired.

We are growing the Department of Psychiatry across our network which currently comprises more than 25 Psychiatrists and 130 mental health professionals.

LVH-Pocono is a 230 bed hospital campus in East Stroudsburg, Pa with over 215 physicians on the medical staff. The Pocono campus has a 41-bed emergency department that records over 80,000 annual patient visits, 10 new surgical suites and a large ambulatory surgical area. We recently opened two brand new 60,000 sq. ft. freestanding health centers which feature primary care, specialists, and key services all under one roof. Through a January 2017 merger this campus joined Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN).

In total Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) includes 5 full service hospital campuses which combine for over 1,300 inpatient beds network wide with 160 practices and a medical staff of over 1,500 providers. Our network provides a full continuum of care in behavioral health from emergency evaluation to intensive care, partial hospitalization, outpatient follow-up, homecare and skilled nursing facility consultation.

East Stroudsburg, PA is located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains. This area offers year-round outdoor activities such as skiing, golfing, hiking, biking, and boating. The region has 170,000 residents, affordable housing, safe neighborhoods and well respected public schools. Just 80 miles west of New York City and 100 miles north of Philadelphia.
