As a psychiatrist, you would be responsible for providing psychiatric services to clients. This includes:
Providing behavioral health assessments, treatment recommendations and planning for clients across all program types.
Providing medication management for clients. Medication provision includes direct delivery of injectable.
Providing counseling, therapy, psycho-education, and consultation about behavioral health and other care.
Monitoring client progress, and oversee discharges and aftercare planning.
Participate in case reviews, and practice improvement projects.
To qualify, you will need:
An MD with a license to practice Psychiatry in the State of New York including up to date status.
A current DEA registration for the prescribing of controlled substances.
Must have NYS OPRA status and a Health Commerce Account at the onset of employment.
Experience with children/adolescents is required and settings and language competency for the population served may also be required.
