Pediatric Inpatient and Critical Care Specialist

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center seeks to add a full time Pediatric Critical Care Specialist. Must be BC in Pediatrics and either BE/BC in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine or possess extensive experience in pediatric critical care medicine. The pediatric intensive care unit is a recent renovation with 8-bed unit that serves the critical needs of medical, surgical, and trauma patients in the pediatric department.

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is 942-bed, 8-hospital regional medical center that includes a 44 bed level III NICU, and a 28 bed Pediatric Unit. The family birth center delivers 5,000 infants annually. The Pediatric Emergency Department has 17 beds and staffed by full time pediatric emergency medicine specialist.

This opportunity places a strong emphasis on clinical services and program growth.

Responsibilities include the following;

- Clinical coverage for the PICCS

- Participation in program development.

- Teaching supervision is available.

- Clinical services include coverage of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Hospitalist Service, and a Pediatric Procedural Sedation Service.
