West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics seeks an academic physician to join the Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition. Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited Pediatric residency and Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowship program, and be board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials. Responsibilities will include providing excellent patient care as well as teaching medical students and Pediatric residents. Opportunities exist to participate in clinical and translational research. The Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology cares for children with a full range of conditions, including active inflammatory bowel disease, eosinophilic esophagitis and nutrition support programs, among others. Its well-equipped Endoscopy Unit offers the full complement of state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic services.
