Pediatric Cardiologist Needed in Morgantown, WV

Job description West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Cardiologist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.

In addition to excellent patient care, the faculty member will have opportunities to teach pediatrics residents and medical students. We currently have specialists in the areas of general cardiology, imaging, interventional, noninvasive and invasive electrophysiology, adult congenital and preventive cardiology. Applicants with interest in advanced imaging including MRI, adult congenital cardiology and/or preventive cardiology are encouraged to apply.

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Pediatric Cardiology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, it is expected that candidates sustain an outstanding, extramurally supported research program.

Qualifications: applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must be board certified / eligible in Pediatrics. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
