The Heart Center at Driscoll Children’s Hospital is seeking a Chief of Pediatric Cardiology to oversee all missions of the Heart Center. Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery have been an integral part of Driscoll Children’s Hospital since 1962. The Hospital and the Heart Center are committed to bringing state-of-the-art technology and quality service to 31 counties in South Texas. In 2017, the Heart Center had 9,479 outpatient and satellite visits, and performed more than 10,000 echocardiograms (140 TEEs and 1053 Fetals), more than 6000 EKGs, and more than 200 Cardiac Catheterizations (73% interventional). This position will provide the surgeon with a supportive surgical team and an opportunity to develop a high quality practice in congenital heart surgery. Corpus Christi and the Rio Grande Valley offer a relaxed “island style” setting with miles of Gulf beaches and mild weather perfect for outdoor activities.
