UPMC Altoona Elite Orthopaedics:
Is a full service orthopaedic practice providing services to patients referred from 70+ primary care physicians in the community and from the Hospital’s emergency and trauma departments. The Practice medical office, which includes in-office radiology services and an EMR, relocated in April 2017 to a newly constructed 90,000 sq. ft. medical office complex.
Current Orthopaedic Surgeons include an orthopaedic spine/total hip surgeon, an orthopaedic trauma surgeon and a total joints specialist. The practice is currently recruiting for a sports medicine specialist, a general orthopaedic surgeon, and a hand and upper extremity physician. A 7th fellowship trained foot and ankle surgeon will be joining the practice in 2018. 2018 will also bring a neuropsychologist with a concussion fellowship to enhance the sports medicine program.
