Vaughan Regional, a LifePoint Health facility, is replacing a third OBGYN who recently relocated. The position will be hospital-employed, with a very rewarding comp and benefits package, along with sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. If needed, student loan assistance may also be available. Call is 1:3, shared with 2 other established OBGYNs. The incoming OBGYN can expect a 5-day work week as they build their own practice on the hospital campus.

Vaughan Regional's 4th floor is dedicated to Labor and Delivery. It features 18 postpartum beds, 6 labor and delivery suites, a C-Section suite and a level 2 nursery. There is a 1:2 nurse to patient ratio for this service line. This service utilizes Centricity monitoring and the Cuddles Security System for its patients. The provider can immediately anticipate seeing patients 2 1/2 days a week in office and performing surgery 2 days per week, and this schedule is flexible.

The medical staff consists of more than 75 physicians serving 22 medical specialties. An incoming OBGYN will benefit from an underserved patient base and a community that is experiencing strong need for obstetric and gynecological services. Centrally located in the state, Selma is only a short drive to Birmingham and the Gulf Coast.

Vaughan Regional Medical Center is a 175-bed acute care facility. This Joint Commission accredited hospital offers an extensive list of services including ICU, a newly expanded 24-hour Emergency Department, Radiology, 64-Slice CT Scanner and a state-of-the-art Eclipse 1.5 MRI station.

The facility offers a full array of patient-centered, community hospital and regional referral services in all of the major medical disciplines including obstetrics, a sleep lab and cardiac catheterization.
