West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Radiology seek Interventional Radiologists qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.
The Radiology Department is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and performing research that will enhance the detection and treatment of disease. We promote, develop and integrate advances in imaging technology and imaging-based therapeutic procedures to complement the clinical, educational and research missions of WVU. We have a growing clinical interventional radiology practice performing the full spectrum of interventional procedures. Facility equipment is excellent with outstanding clinic infrastructure in place. The section also covers nonvascular CT/US interventions and diagnostic CTA/MRA. You will join a renowned team of radiologists, oncologists, surgeons, and vascular specialists who are making an extraordinary difference in the lives of patients not only locally, but across the entire state of West Virginia and surrounding areas.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of interventional radiology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, it is expected that candidates sustain an outstanding, extramurally supported research program.
Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in radiology. IR fellowship training and CAQ eligibility/certification are also required. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
