Successful candidates must have an MD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must be board-certified, or board eligible in in internal medicine and certified or eligible in cardiovascular disease with additional certification or intent to certify in imaging modalities such as echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and/or MRI. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
While this position will be primarily based at Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, WV and at Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville, WV, the WVU Heart Institute operates several satellite clinics in West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, whereby section faculty could practice.
