Job description San Luis Valley Health is seeking a General Surgeon to assist with weekend call coverage in August!

Must be Board certified/Board eligible – with a desire and ability to work with a multi-specialty team in a rural area.

Clinicial Workload - Outpatient Average Patients Weekend call coverage: Make rounds every morning 1 – 2 hours daily.Called in on average once daily.

Candidate must be comfortable being solo on call, comfortable working with a team, with a desire to practice in a rural area.

Call coverage triage: Yes, 24/7 Hospitalist coverage Procedures Procedures needed: Peds, some comfort with trauma and advanced lap. No vascular or bariatric. Upper and lower GI endoscopy is a must.
