UPMC Altoona Breast Health Center:
Is a comprehensive breast health care center providing services to patients referred from 70+ primary care physicians in the community and those who choose self-referral from throughout our service area. The Practice medical office offers consultation, imaging studies, clinical breast exams and minimally invasive breast biopsies. UPMC Altoona offers breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography) and the services of a board-certified, fellowship- trained diagnostic radiologist and an oncology nurse navigator - in place to assist newly diagnosed patients to understand their diagnosis, determine steps for care and appropriately schedule that care. State-of-the-art technology also provides the services of the UPMC Breast Genetics Telemedicine Program onsite.
